O' My Queen,
As I wrote to you in my email, I'm happy that there are people out there with goals beyond "ecommerce". Potential customers and clients are surprised when our principles get in the way of their doing business with us. Our growth has been slow and investorship wary because of it. Then again, that's what finally brought an investor to the table, "Any company that is willing to put something like that (our principles page) on their website is a company I want to do business with."
Anyway, good thoughts and thanks for bringing to light companies that follow their principles in business.

Hi Robbin,

nice finding! In fact, I am quite surprised. When I moved to Israel, I got more and more impressed by how orthodox people can find shortcuts when they want to do some forbidden thing. An example: you cannot leave your house carrying things on Shabat, so most of the religious moshavs (small agricultural settlements) just surround themselves with a wire and consider the surrounded area as their house.

I would never guess that a website will be closed on Shabat. But I think Jewish are just like that sometimes, unpredictable! See my review on Amazon for Ghetto Diary, a book by Janusz Korczak, I am his fan for the same reason! http://tinyurl.com/y266h8

Thanks for the interesting information, I will use it!
