Search Engine Optimization (SEO). You sit down at your computer and navigate to Google. You enter your search term. Shazam! You come up on page one in the unpaid “organic” listing. Everyone is clicking through to your site because you’re there. On page one.
If you are on the first page of the search engines, in a top ten spot, your site will be selected by the searcher about 1/10th of the time (a lot more often if you are at the top of the page, and a lot less often if you are at the bottom.) So let’s do the math – if your keyword gets 50,000 searches/month, that’s about 5000 people clicking through to your site. For free. And that’s only one keyword.
