Attendees at the upcoming Marketing Evolution Experience conference, held in Las Vegas from June 3-7, will have several opportunities to join the LunaMetrics/HS2 Solutions team! The conference features speakers and keynotes by marketers and analytics professionals from Google, Adobe, and Intuit, as well as a session on attribution adoption for organizations by our own Director of Marketing and Training, Jon Meck.

Tuesday night also features the Quanties Awards Party hosted by the Digital Analytics Association, recognizing the best and brightest individuals and companies in the analytics industry. Samantha Barnes, an Analytics & Insight manager at LunaMetrics, is a finalist for the Top New Practitioner award.

Attribution? Your Company isn’t Ready for Attribution

Attribution has long been a focus for LunaMetrics. Through the consulting we provide and the trainings we host around the country, we’ve seen or heard it all, helping companies start from scratch or enhance their existing attribution efforts.

There are a few absolutes that we know about attribution, and specifically digital marketing attribution. Attribution can be confusing and hard to wrap your head around. Conversions, models, algorithms, oh my! Understanding where you are, what’s possible, and how to best make attribution work for your organization takes time and effort. (We created an attribution blog series to help with this!)

Attribution requires organizational buy-in to be successful. Attribution is not merely a technical challenge – it also requires changes to internal processes, education across stakeholders, and commitment to consistently validate, improve, and make adjustments based on the data.

Jon’s talk in Vegas promises to address this audience: organizations that are just starting out with attribution or who are still working to get the value out of their efforts. He’ll highlight the main areas where organizations struggle while adopting attribution, and outline steps for tackling common issues like technical and cultural challenges, in the right order.

Top New Practitioner Finalist

Samantha’s contributions to LunaMetrics since joining in 2013 have been widespread, consistently delivering high value to our clients and improving our training offerings to the public. As a Manager in our Analytics & Insight practice, she has helped to shape the way that we serve our enterprise Google Analytics 360 customers, developing internal best practices around client reporting, as well as growing our capabilities around data visualization, Python and automation.

Publicly, Samantha is a frequent contributor to the LunaMetrics blog, as well as a trainer in our Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Data Studio courses. She spearheaded the development of our Google Data Studio workhop, one of the latest additions to the LunaMetrics public training courses. Centered around the free tool, Google Data Studio, the workshop takes attendees through a hands-on process of connecting data and building their first dashboards, going beyond the basics and learning how to customize the data and presentation.
